XXX Vegas Valentine
Some provocative neon to brighten your Saint Valentine Day. Our plane landed in Vegas during a heavy rain. We drove up and down the Strip as I snapped pictures from the back seat.
I only visited Vegas once. We had spent a day in Death Valley. A Full day. Driving through the hot barren vein map of a hand landscape. Navajo indian whoops and hollers and beat beat echos. The sun set on the sand and the night and the planeterium sky lit up with a zillion stars straight on the horizion on a strange wasteland crater called Earth.
Late that night we drove and came upon a city in the distance. Like a tiny city of candles, or some Oasis caravan party in the desert. Miles....off and far away. We drove, closer, closer. The just about Full moon in the sky lighting our way.
as we arrived suddenly gas stations appeared out of nowhere and blinding bright pink, fire glows of water exploding and honking cars beeping blinking red lights, greens lights, yellow lights and we did not stop as planned. Just kept right on driving through and out of town, where we found the moon again in the sky, which Vegas had drowned.
And once upon a diner came with coffee black and Elvis on the jukebox.
